Errors come back in errors, each with a message and, where Darpan sets one, extensions.code. A query rejected before it runs returns no data.

Errors from an audit query

auditReport and auditFinding explain an expected refusal in plain words, for example Audit month-closing was not found, Finding F-1 was not found (also for another tenant’s finding) or date must be YYYY-MM-DD. Any other failure reads auditReport could not be completed; Darpan logs the detail. GraphQL syntax and validation errors (an unknown field, a wrong argument type, a mutation) come from the GraphQL layer itself and do not use the codes above.
